Gel case? - don't bother

I've had my Galaxy Note for just over 2 weeks and the first thing i did was to buy a case for it. Despite it having Gorilla glass on the front the rest of it is quite delicate.  The back cover is so thin I am surprised it didnt snap when i removed it to add the battery and SIM card. Its quite disappointing on Samsung's part considering how much they charge for this smartphone.

I bought a slipcase at first but it rattles around inside and is a nuisance having to take it out each time i want to do something or switch off an alarm. So, I decided on one of those gel covers that you just pull on over the edges of the phone which help with grip and also provide a very small raised protection of the front glass if its dropped.  Being someone who has trouble making up my mind when faced with too many colour choices I went mad and bought 4 of them in diff colours so i could have a change. Big mistake. I bought 3 diff types from different sellers on Amazon but they are way too loose. They fit over the phone okay but if you happen to pick up the phone by the edge you are likely to be left holding the nasty rubber gel case whilst your precious phone falls to the floor. Plus, the cut outs make it nigh on impossible to plug the charger in through the rubber holes.

I have ordered a hard case now which fits on the back in the hope that it will be the final one.  It also has an Angry Birds design. Its my favourite game at the moment. It should be arriving soon and i'll report more later on that.
